Collection Day

Society members welcomed the public to bring items they retrieved from Sandy or new items. Mr. Smith brought a box of photos and a Trolley notebook that he presented to president Dana Weiner. Bobby and Mary Holtz donated an original 1855 map of Keyport that needs some restoration. Ken Krohe and George Massey donated a metal sign once placed upon the bumper of the Keyport High School student driver car. Tom Gallo donated over 200 pieces of letterhead and stationary from Keyport Businesses and departments, photographs and a broad range of railroad schedules showing service from Keyport to north and south Jersey and NYC. Later that day, new Board member Brian Hall gave us an oil painting from Eloise Schanck he found in the Passport clean up. Thank you to the Keyport First Aid for the use of their beautiful rental hall. All in all, a great start to rebuilding our collection.
