February 16 —DEAD HISTORY’S Where the Presidents Lay, 7:00 p.m.
Keynote speaker: TJ Fallon, Historical Researcher
Location: Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 60 Maple PlaceWe are delighted to invite you to a special Presidents’ Day evening program featuring TJ Fallon, New Jersey–based historical researcher and creator of the popular Dead History YouTube channel.
During the pandemic in 2020, a furlough sparked an extraordinary journey. TJ Fallon set out to visit and document the gravesites of every U.S. president, later expanding his travels to include vice presidents and the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. His project has taken him thousands of miles across the country, bringing American history to life in a deeply personal and compelling way.
This Presidents’ Day presentation will focus on TJ’s experiences visiting the final resting places of every American president, sharing stories from the road, unexpected discoveries, and reflections on the people behind the presidencies.
March 23—The Untold Story of Col. Tye & Capt. Huddy, 7:00 p.m.
Speaker: Rick Geffken, Author and Historian
Location: Matawan Masonic Lodge No. 192, 192 Main St., MatawanThe intriguing and little-known story of the Revolutionary War conflicts between a runaway slave called Colonel Tye fighting for the British and his Patriot foe. The extralegal hanging of militia Captain Joshua Huddy in Highlands, New Jersey created an international incident when George Washington resolved to hang a British P.O.W. in retribution. These incidents threatened the success of the Paris Peace Treaty talks which were saved by the intervention of the Queen of France, Marie Antoinette.

May 2 & 3—Revolutionary Weekend in Old Monmouth
The Keyport Historical Museum will be among 50 sites featured in The 16th Annual Weekend in Old Monmouth. Hosted by the Monmouth County Board of Commissioners and the Historical Commission, this program of self-guided tours of historical sites ranges across the county from the Bayshore to the Seashore.June 6—Keyport GardenWalk, 10am-5pm
We are delighted to support Keyport’s 15th Annual GardenWalk hosted by the Keyport Garden Club. The museum grounds will be one of the gardens featured in this year’s self-guided garden tour.Don’t miss the GardenTalk presentation by Lesley Parness. The Real Housewives of NJ: Early American Women and their Kitchen Gardens begins at 9am in Keyport Borough Hall.
