Help Preserve Keyport's Black Heritage

The Keyport Historical Society is beginning the process of applying for inclusion on New Jersey's Black Heritage Trail, an initiative that recognizes and preserves the important contributions of African Americans throughout our state's history.

We invite members of our community to help identify, document, and preserve Keyport's Black heritage. If you have family stories, photographs, historical knowledge, or an interest in local history, we would love to hear from you.

Proud to Partner with MHS

The Keyport Historical Society is delighted to announce that it is collaborating with the Matawan Historical Society on a series of special events celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution. This includes co-sponsoring related lectures as well as partnering on special events commemorating the local fight for independence in the Bayshore area.

Both Keyport and Matawan are proud partners in the RevolutionNJ and MonmouthNJ 250 programs.
