Veterans Park

Now

Located along the bayfront at Myrtle Avenue, Veterans Park is a reflective space centered on memorials honoring those who served, tying Keyport’s public spaces to its deep sense of community and history.

Recreational features—including horseshoe pits, kayak lockers, and a nearby launch—keep the park active and accessible, offering a balance between remembrance and everyday use along the water’s edge.

Then

This portion of the waterfront once supported essential industry and infrastructure that extended across what is now both Veterans Park and neighboring Benjamin Terry Park. Part of the Benjamin Terry Boat Yard operated along this shoreline, where vessels were built during Keyport’s shipbuilding era.

Standing here today, this quiet, commemorative space invites reflection—not only on those who served, but on the working waterfront that inspired everyday life in Keyport.
